If we go walking through the woods at night, it is a good idea to carry along a flashlight - so we can shine it on the ground to avoid tripping over obstacles in the path. Likewise, God's Word illuminates the path of our lives. If we keep God's Word shining along the way, then we will be far less likely to trip up or be deceived.
